NWTCA at a Glance

Northwest Tibetan Cultural Association (NWTCA) is a registered non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, established in 1993 to create a spiritual and cultural home for the Tibetans living in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Our main objective is to preserve and promote the rich ancient culture and tradition of Tibet. NWTCA organizes various programs and events for Tibetans, while interacting with the greater Northwest community to promote awareness about the Tibetan culture and reinforce His Holiness the Dalai Lama's message of global peace and compassion.

Sera Mey Medicine Buddha Event

Sera Mey presents their unique tradition of Medicine Buddha Practice and introductory Buddhism for two days. Programs will include recitation of the Medicine Buddha sutra ritual and practice, teaching on mind training and dedication for the long life of H.H. the Dalai Lama. The most venerable XIV Siling Tongkhor Rinpoche will preside over the practice.

Venerable Siling Tongkhor Rinpoche and the monks will be in Portland from September 24 - October 5th, 2022.

All proceeds from their activities will benefit Sera Mey Monastery in South India.
